Requirements
  • Ability to gain and maintain a Gaming License through the proper regulatory bodies; advanced licensing requirements may apply depending on role.
  • 7+ years of security or surveillance operations, government, or private industry experience in the security/surveillance field, including experience preparing risk assessments, operational security plans, conducting security reviews, and/or after-action reports
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental entities
  • Previous leadership experience in a similar or related setting
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Strong comprehension skills for understanding information, security best practices, applying knowledge to different scenarios, and sharing recommendations with Executive leaders
  • Ability to effectively manage crises with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be willing and able to travel between worksites regularly as deemed necessary, including but not limited to: Corporate Headquarters (Jersey City, NJ); Cincinnati, OH; Glendale, AZ; Ontario, Canada
Responsibilities
  • Manage all security- and surveillance-related operational matters of various properties and their events. This includes leading Senior Managers and providing effective leadership and guidance during any major crisis/incidents
  • Support leadership with the implementation and execution of strategic goals to deliver guest service using feedback and data with a proactive approach; manage the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the property's core service standards.
  • Support leadership and facilities personnel in all BetMGM properties, including those headquartered in Jersey City, NJ, as well as all affiliate/partnership properties
  • Provide ongoing safety and security consultation to the entire BetMGM organization, including, but not limited to: supporting ongoing yearly training efforts such as active shooter, OSHA, and emergency preparedness
  • Develop an understanding of all relevant local, state, and federal laws and maintain a good working relationship with local law enforcement, gaming agents, and other regulatory officials/bodies
  • Collaborate, as needed, with local law enforcement to uphold law and order in the facility, maintain guest/team member safety, and respond to and handle emergency situations
  • Promptly address all guest and team member questions or concerns, either directly or by involving the appropriate department, supervisor, or manager to ensure accurate information or effective resolution
  • Lead all facility functions for the company, including but not limited to: ensuring all equipment and building functions are maintained and working properly
  • Lead emergency response center duties and respond to emergency events, as needed
  • Provide clear guidance and support during emergency situations, including evacuations, severe weather, natural disasters, and security threats
  • Offer recommendations to help resolve incidents effectively and minimize impact to the business
  • Manage relationships with Security/Surveillance and Facilities vendors, including reviewing contracts to ensure alignment with business needs and compliance with company standards
  • Manage vendors to ensure completion of work orders and contracted services
  • Oversee the planning and execution of new facility builds for Security and Surveillance, including access control systems, security assessments, surveillance infrastructure, and overall coordination across all managed areas
  • Ensure policies/procedures and compliance standards are followed and maintained
  • Maintain knowledge of company internal controls, policies, regulations, and procedures Implement Human Resources initiatives focused on fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment
  • Drive efforts in performance feedback, recognition, team member engagement, effective hiring, training, and succession planning, aligning with the company’s commitment to culture and belonging
  • Ensure proper reporting and communication between surveillance and security as it pertains to incident reports and regulatory items
  • Maintain oversight of key control and issuance of team member badges and permits
  • Perform other job-related duties as deemed necessary or assigned by the Chief Legal Officer
