USC’s Keck School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Office of Educational Affairs is seeking an Academic Program Specialist.

The incumbent will work with the Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC Department of Medicine and coordinate the Internal Medicine Clerkship and Sub-Internship rotations as well as work with the internal medicine residency. Responsibilities will include meeting Liaison Committee and Medical Education, Accreditation of Council of Graduate Medical Education, American Board of Internal Medicine, and Medical Board of California requirements, as well as Keck School of Medicine and University of Southern California policies.
Job Accountabilities:
- Ensure alignment with accreditation standards and reporting requirements
- Coordinate internal medicine clinical rotations for 3rd and 4th-year medical students by generating and providing rotation packets to students, hospitals, and clinical sites
- Communicate site-specific requirements and collect documentation. Act as a bridge between students, faculty, preceptors, and clinical site staff.
- Organize orientation sessions, required lectures and meetings such as clerkship director rounds, semi-annuals, advising, and exit interviews
- Support clerkship directors and internal medicine residency leadership
- Assist the internal medicine residency with event coordination of key events such as recruitment, onboarding, orientation, graduation, board review, poster day, and in-training examination
- Assign and track completion of evaluations and lecture attendance
- Process accounts for evaluation platforms and voluntary faculty appointments
- Maintain accurate records of affiliated institutions and faculty
- Collaborate with off-site facilities, Keck School of Medicine Hospital, Arcadia Hospital, LA General Medical Center, Verdugo Hills Hospital, and USC Norris Comprehensive Center
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
This position will be Non-exempt and Hybrid-Flex.
The hourly rate range for this position is $28.88 to $28.88

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for interacting with both domestic and international stakeholders. Demonstrated attention to detail. Proven ability to plan, implement, and coordinate program logistics. Demonstrated database/data entry experience. Proven project management and problem solving skills, able to handle multiple timelines, changing priorities, and fluctuating workloads.
