Requirements
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Upholds standards set by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) regarding diagnostic procedures and professional ethics.
  • Licensure, Certification & Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Bachelor of Science Degree in Advanced Level Certification in MRI; Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Experience: 2 years of MRI experience in hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must maintain a professional manner and appearance
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Must be self-motivated and have ability to work in a healthcare setting
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must have basic skills and knowledge necessary to perform venip
Responsibilities
  • Utilizes all their technical skills and training to ensure the safe and accurate operation of the MRI scanner including the screening of all patients and visitors
  • Evaluates MRI scans for technical quality under minimal supervision. Perform these duties using independent judgment and initiative
  • Must project an image of professionalism in conduct, appearance, communication and team work. Participates in the continuous quality improvement process of the department.
  • Participates in hospital wide compliance assessments
  • Transports patients to and from the ED and patient floors, when needed, to maximize utilization
  • Will be required to take call and rotate to both MRI sites
  • Performs other related duties as required
