Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Ten or more years of experience with IT services, operations, infrastructure, information security, applications, development, support, and/or processes with at least five years of senior leadership experience and oversight of personnel and budgets
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategy in high-consequence, high-complexity situations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a large, technical organization
  • Demonstrated experience leading information technology operations
  • Ability to partner to support innovation in a highly technical environment while operating with high cybersecurity in a regulated industry
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Sustain and evolve all corporate information technology services, including more than 300 production services, that support different aspects of the business and mission, at all Aerospace operating locations, across multiple unclassified and classified networks.
  • Manage a staff of 175+ employees providing IT engineering and operations.
  • Leverage a staff of 100+ contractors providing support for contractually defined bodies of operational work.
  • Partner with the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO) to ensure appropriate cybersecurity for all IT services and compliance with all relevant standards.
  • In partnership with the Finance, manage the corporation’s information $100M/year operational and capital information technology budget and ensure cost-effective service delivery while supporting targeted investments that drive differentiating value.
  • Work with business and mission stakeholders to develop strategies and tactics to satisfy corporate strategic and tactical goals.
  • Sustain and improve the company’s IT operations capabilities, including defining processes and metrics that can be used to drive quantitative and qualitative improvements in outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (Masters, Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, cybersecurity-related certifications)
  • Experience with information technology in Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), defense contracting, or other regulated industries
  • Experience with emerging and advanced information technology trends (e.g., DevOps, artificial intelligence/machine learning/”AI ops”, infrastructure-as-code)
