Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of functional experience and demonstrated expertise in program management are required.
  • Previous experience in the embedded computer industry is required.
  • A complete understanding of project management principles, theories, concepts, and techniques is required.
  • Experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates is required.
  • The ability to understand new concepts quickly, apply them in an evolving environment, and contribute to developing new processes is required.
  • Customer focus, issue identification, data analysis, solution development, analytical ability, verbal and written communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Good computer skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment are required.
  • The ability to work extended hours as required is necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Administer daily operational aspects of one or more ongoing projects and participate in project plan development.
  • Integrate and analyze project plans to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met, and ensure that key parties are advised.
  • Coordinate and develop activities across engineering, production control, manufacturing, and other departments.
  • Develop, track, and report on the program plan, detailed project schedule, and program deliverables.
  • Communicate program status to management.
  • Represent the organization with outside organizations when required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Identify issues in engineering and manufacturing and recommend resolutions.
  • Review engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Confer across functional areas to provide and obtain technical information.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules of raw materials and sub-assemblies from contractors.
  • Monitor the progress of manufactured parts required for projects.
  • Maintain project-specific inventory control.
  • Review open engineering issues affecting sales orders.
  • Alert production planning to open engineering issues that may affect manufacturing.
  • Alert engineering to sales order activity that may affect outstanding work.
  • Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
  • Work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Program management certification.
