Responsibilities
  • The Lead Teacher supervises and integrates all daily and long-term planning for the classroom in collaboration with the support team and other classroom team members.
  • Lead teachers ensure that the social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of the children are met based on the center's philosophy, curriculum, policies, and state licensing rules.
  • They consistently implement, evaluate, and communicate classroom programming, routines, and procedures.
  • Additionally, they are required to manage the classroom by completing the necessary paperwork, training, evaluating staff, and problem-solving with the team and parents.
  • Our teachers implement health, safety, and security processes and procedures, including CACFP meal counting.
  • Furthermore, they participate in professional development and center-wide and university teams, as well as individually planned activities.
