Responsibilities
  • Maintain program records, reports, student records and associated databases.
  • Prepare reports and provide information to faculty, advisor or other departments (i.e. student status, course placement, major declarations, transfer credit review, enrollment etc.)
  • Interact with students regarding registration, academic processes and related issues and/or direct students to appropriate contacts or resources.
  • Provide administrative support during the admissions process by ensuring application materials are complete and organizing materials for faculty review and decision process.
  • Coordinate onboarding of incoming Masters Students.
  • Provide course scheduling support by using department and university systems to schedule various course meetings.
  • Collects and updates course descriptions, orders textbooks, and communicates academic system deadlines or requirements.
  • Help coordinate and maintain course information in Canvas, the University’s learning management system.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of student activities and events including the NI Diploma Ceremony; attendance at the annual department ceremonies during Commencement weekend is a requirement of this position.
  • Coordinate advertising, fairs, faculty meetings, graduate milestone presentations, etc.
  • Work with counterparts in other departments and other campus constituents to ensure smooth operations.
