F5 and Forcepoint have announced a partnership to secure enterprise AI systems across their entire lifecycle, from data discovery to runtime operations. The alliance combines Forcepoint's AI-native Data Security Posture Management capabilities with F5's AI red teaming and guardrails functionality. The partnership addresses security gaps as organisations rapidly deploy AI across copilots, assistants and automated workflows. Forcepoint enables discovery, classification and governance of sensitive data across cloud and enterprise environments, whilst F5 secures AI systems at runtime by enforcing policies across APIs, gateways and applications. The combined solution helps security teams identify data vulnerabilities in real time, prioritise AI use cases based on risk, and monitor systems for misuse. The companies announced the partnership at RSA Conference, offering enterprises a path to adopt AI without rebuilding security architecture.
F5 and Forcepoint partner to secure AI across data and runtime lifecycle. Multicloud security and application delivery company F5 Inc. and data security company Forcepoint LLC today announced a new partnership designed to help enterprises secure artificial intelligence across its lifecycle, from foundational data discovery and classification through runtime protection and continuous assurance. The partnership seeks to address the issue whereby, as organizations rapidly deploy AI across copilots, assistants and automated workflows, security practices are struggling to keep pace. The rise of AI has created complex challenges in identifying where sensitive data resides, how it flows through AI systems, and the potential risks introduced during production. The companies argue that while data governance, application security and runtime protections remain crucial, they commonly operate in silos and, in doing so, create gaps between security policy and AI behavior in practice. The new partnership addresses the issue by combining Forcepoint's AI-native Data Security Posture Management data discovery and classification capabilities with F5's AI Red Team and AI Guardrails functionality in the F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform. Combined, the services provide runtime protections for AI applications, application programming interfaces, models and agents to help organizations operationalize AI safely while maintaining control and visibility over sensitive enterprise data. With the joint solution, security teams can now identify and address data vulnerabilities in real time and prioritize AI use cases based on risk. Other delivery features include enforcement of runtime controls over AI interactions and the ability to monitor systems for misuse or abnormal behavior. Additional continuous telemetry and policy validation also provide ongoing assurance that AI systems are operating securely and in line with enterprise governance requirements. "By combining Forcepoint's deep data intelligence and contextual awareness with F5's advanced application security and runtime protections, organizations can not only eliminate operational security gaps but also achieve unmatched confidence and control in their AI operations," said F5 Chief Marketing Officer John Maddison. The F5-Forcepoint partnership also addresses other challenges faced by organizations adopting AI: knowing which data should be accessible to AI systems, which use cases present the greatest risk and how to enforce policies once AI applications are in production. The combined offering treats AI security as a continuous lifecycle, connecting data understanding with runtime enforcement to address the challenge. The joint offering starts with Forcepoint allowing organizations to discover, classify, prioritize and govern sensitive and business-critical data across cloud, software-as-a-service, endpoint and enterprise data environments. F5 then secures AI systems at runtime by enforcing policies across APIs, gateways, applications and AI agents. The F5 AI Red Team and F5 AI Guardrails functionality within F5 ADSP also allow customers to secure AI models through monitoring and adversarial testing capabilities. With the joint solution, customers can defend against threat actors by detecting prompt abuse, preventing data exfiltration and protecting AI models and workloads from emerging threats. "F5 and Forcepoint are establishing a new standard of continuous, adaptive protection that follows data from the moment of creation through every stage of its lifecycle, including the runtime layer where AI systems operate, evolve and expand risk vectors," said Naveen Palavalli, chief product and marketing officer at Forcepoint. "The threats AI brings requires a new category for proactive data and AI risk mitigation and our partnership is delivering on this today." F5 will be demonstrating the joint solution with Forcepoint at the RSAC Conference in San Francisco March 23-26. Photo: robert hof/siliconangle. Forcepoint secures AI adoption and data everywhere with new ARIA AI Assistant and endpoint intelligence. * New Data Security Cloud capabilities advance Forcepoint's Self-Aware Data Security approach, closing the gap between visibility and control as AI-driven data risk grows * Unified DSPM and DLP cloud platform adds natural-language policy automation, on-device data protection and expanded cloud data lakehouse security * Revamped Global Partner Program helps scale Data Security Cloud adoption Mar 5, 2026 Prev Next 1 of 42,771 Global cybersecurity leader Forcepoint announced major enhancements to its AI-native Data Security Cloud platform, led by ARIA, the embedded Adaptive Risk Intelligence Assistant that uses natural language to create enforcement policies and accelerate incident response across AI-driven workflows. The company also updated its Global Partner Program, aligning incentives and enablement around Data Security Cloud to help partners deploy and scale modern data security for end-users. Together, these innovations advance Forcepoint's Self-Aware Data Security approach that knows threats as they form, adapts policies and risk scoring in real time and enforces controls wherever data flows. "AI has made data a living, breathing thing, permanently changing how information ripples through organizations and demanding true visibility and control that moves just as fast." - Forcepoint CEO Ryan Windham A recent World Economic Forum report found that 66 percent of organizations say AI will have the most significant impact on cybersecurity in the next year, yet most lack formal processes to assess AI risk. As AI reshapes how sensitive information is created, transformed and shared at machine speed across cloud platforms, collaboration tools and AI-driven workflows, this always-on data evolves long after creation, widening the gap between visibility and control. Data Security Cloud updates address this gap with AI-aware automation, on-device web intelligence and a redesigned partner program that brings Self-Aware Data Security to market at scale. Rather than relying on static policies or routing traffic through a remote proxy before responding, Forcepoint adapts enforcement in real time, closing the distance between detection and action to keep up with how modern workforces leverage AI tools. Data Security Cloud unifies DSPM, DLP Cloud, Data Detection and Response (DDR), Web and Email security, CASB, RBI, advanced forensics and risk-adaptive protection under a single-policy framework, extending from endpoint to cloud. The platform eliminates multiple point products, making Self-Aware Data Security a practical, day-to-day reality. "AI has made data a living, breathing thing, permanently changing how information ripples through organizations and demanding true visibility and control that moves just as fast," said Ryan Windham, CEO of Forcepoint. "By embedding ARIA directly into Data Security Cloud, we're helping security teams respond faster to emerging threats and strengthen adaptive protection across modern environments. Our enhanced partner ecosystem is how we bring Self-Aware Data Security to life at scale." "We have data everywhere - in the cloud, on prem, across 140,000 students in 70 countries. AI, modernization and data sprawl are all interlinked, and if we wait to see what challenges AI brings, we're behind," said Brian Johnson, Director of IT Security at Liberty University. "Before Forcepoint, I had multiple platforms and limited line of sight across them. Data Security Cloud gives us unified visibility and control at scale and simplifies my job." Data Security Cloud Delivers AI-Aware Protection at the Speed of Data Creation The enhancements extend protection to follow sensitive information everywhere, across AI pipelines, analytics platforms and collaboration tools. By unifying discovery, classification, prioritization and enforcement in one continuous loop, Forcepoint enables organizations to move toward Self-Aware Data Security - gaining clarity and confidence to tame data sprawl, safely enable GenAI, contain insider risk and simplify compliance. Key innovations include: Forcepoint Adaptive Risk Intelligence Assistant (ARIA). Embedded in Data Security Cloud, ARIA understands risk across the platform, identifying gaps such as newly adopted copilots without policy coverage, and generates recommended policies in seconds with clear rationale for administrator review. Teams can quickly create or update policies and deploy them across channels from a single interface, reducing time-to-value and policy expertise requirements. ARIA also streamlines incident response by integrating with existing tools like ServiceNow and Slack, while continuously delivering risk insights powered by Forcepoint's AI Mesh, which discovers and classifies billions of structured and unstructured data elements. Next-generation Data Security Everywhere agent. The new agent brings adaptive protection and web intelligence directly to the endpoint, inspecting and protecting data on devices, without forcing traffic through a traditional proxy. It manages precise protection for sanctioned AI apps while blocking sensitive information from reaching unsanctioned AI tools and personal cloud storage. It combines adaptive enforcement, investigation, forensics and user-level awareness in a single agent that supports cloud and on-premises environments, allowing organizations to modernize without sacrificing protection. Expanded coverage for modern analytics, cloud data lakehouses and AI-driven environments. Forcepoint extended structured data security to cloud data lakehouses such as Databricks and Snowflake, deepened integration with Google Workspace and broadened consistent protection across SaaS, hybrid, endpoint, web and email channels. Global Partner Program Accelerates Data Security Everywhere Based on partner feedback, Forcepoint updated its Global Partner Program to align incentives, enablement and deal structures around Data Security Cloud. The redesigned program introduces a simplified three-tier structure with transparent requirements and clearly defined economic benefits at every level, including deal registration margins with no minimum thresholds and deal families aligned to data security use cases. Expanded enablement includes billable capability development to help partners differentiate as trusted data security advisors. "Organizations are realizing that fragmented security tools create gaps that adversaries exploit," said Ian L. Paterson, CEO of Plurilock. "Forcepoint's unified Data Security Cloud platform and updated partner program align closely with Plurilock's philosophy of delivering fewer tools, more security and measurable outcomes for our clients."
