Requirements
  • A degree in Human Resources, Education, or Business Administration, or qualifications in Learning, Development, or Training.
  • Knowledge of the railway and maritime industries.
  • At least 8 years of progressive human resources or training experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience working in international environments, preferably in the hospitality or luxury industry.
  • In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods, including content creation, workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching.
  • Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment, ideally within retail, automotive services, hospitality, or food and beverage industries.
  • Ability to facilitate training for different leadership levels in Italian and English.
  • Ability to build and implement strategies and manage projects in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing learning and development strategies, policies, and programs.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations and needs.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems.
Responsibilities
  • Develop learning and development programs and create learning materials for all properties.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning through coaching sessions and mentorship programs using new training methods such as e-learning, courses, and gamification programming.
  • Create a tailored and uniform onboarding and induction experience.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with the organization’s culture and brand standards.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Oversee the delivery of training sessions using varied methods and technologies to engage learners and maximize learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to preparation of the learning and development and training budget and monitor the financial performance of all properties.
  • Ensure compliance with People and Culture guidelines and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with properties to localize training content and materials while maintaining relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Ensure properties maintain accurate and up-to-date records of training activities.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory health, safety, and environment training for the corporate team.
  • Liaise with the corporate academy and outsourced training providers to maximize learning and development opportunities.
  • Identify training needs through assessments, feedback mechanisms, performance evaluations, service audits, and guest feedback.
  • Create a team of property trainers so operational training can take place as appropriate.
  • Advise managers and employees on training opportunities, career choices, qualifications, and other development topics.
  • Visit all properties on a rotation basis to deliver orientation, train-the-trainer, performance management, and Forbes/LQA training and measure the effectiveness of previous sessions.
  • Conduct property service audits according to Forbes/LQA standards as applicable.
  • Provide feedback to property executive teams on employees’ job performance.

Treasure Island joins Accor's Handwritten Collection, marking group's Las Vegas Strip debut

Treasure Island TI Las Vegas Hotel has officially joined Accor's Handwritten Collection, marking the hospitality group's arrival on the Las Vegas Strip. The 2,884-room property becomes the largest hotel in Accor's global network. Opened in 1993, the hotel retains its distinctive pirate-themed character, including full-scale replicas of 17th-century ships at its entrance. The property offers a 24-hour casino, outdoor pool, spa, and hosts Mystère, a Cirque du Soleil show running for over 30 years. The hotel features diverse dining options and plans to open new Mexican and Italian restaurants in 2027. Rooms start from $69 per night. Guests can earn reward points through ALL Accor, the company's loyalty programme. The property holds Four Green Globes certification and partners with Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada to support the local community.

Hilton, Radisson, and Accor plan 10+ Morocco hotels as tourism surges 20%

Morocco is experiencing an unprecedented tourism boom, with nearly 20 million international tourists visiting in 2026, marking a 20% year-on-year increase. Major destinations like Marrakesh have seen overnight stays surge by nearly 40%. Major hotel chains are capitalising on this growth with significant expansion plans. Hilton has opened a 55-room Waldorf Astoria in Rabat's Mohammed VI Tower and plans six new properties across Morocco by 2030, including Tapestry Collection hotels in Casablanca and Chefchaouen, plus DoubleTree and Curio Collection properties in Marrakech and Nador. Accor is developing a Sofitel Tangier for 2029 and partnering with local group Risma on a tourism academy. Radisson is constructing Radisson Blu and Radisson RED properties in Casablanca for 2028. Morocco's strategic location has also attracted cruise lines rerouting from the Middle East.
