Requirements
  • BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Engineering or another related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and due diligence report preparation.
  • Experience with the State of Florida Petroleum Restoration Program, Florida Regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • The ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
  • Valid driver's license, safe driving history and reliable transportation are required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects under the State of Florida Petroleum Restoration Program.
  • Manage multiple private-client projects; demonstrate expertise in site assessment and remediation of contaminated media at impacted sites.
  • Prepare due diligence (ASTM Phase I/Phase II) reports and mentor staff through due diligence projects.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of FDEP SOP protocols related to environmental sampling techniques and demonstrate direct experience with these sampling procedures.
  • Prepare FL-specific regulatory reports.
  • Provide quality assurance/quality control document reviews.
  • Assistance with the preparation of proposals and scopes of work.
  • Project fiscal management of FDEP projects and private client projects/portfolios.
  • Actively develop your own career growth with opportunities to assist with field and reporting tasks.
  • Collaborate directly with staff and management-level team members with field and reporting responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prefer candidates with Professional Geologist license obtained or on track to obtain.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
  • Light construction experience/direct skills a plus.
  • Prefer candidates in Central to N. FL region (Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, or Tallahassee).
  • Willing to travel as needed.
