Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Sr. QA Analyst is responsible for the testing phase of the production process to ensure that final products meet the company standards. Duties include identifying whether products are functional, reliable, and meet the end user's expectations. The candidate should be ready to take up any technical challenges, research oriented with excellent understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology. The candidate should have the ability to work on automation process. Also, experience of working in an off-shore / on-shore model is required.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with expertise in ETL testing and web-based application testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test strategies to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC process.
• Design and execute test scripts based upon test strategy/plans to identify defects prior to production. 
• Construct test scenarios, cases, and scripts, ensuring that requirement coverage is adequate and business requirements, functional specifications and designs are linked to test artifacts
• Develop and maintain quality manual code and work towards manual non-test related QA functions.
• Build reusable test frameworks; refactor and extend test manual frameworks and suites, as needed.
• Maintain automated regression suites/packages to be compliant with changing requirements and features
• Create defect for identified issues and participate in the defects triage meeting. Tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Troubleshoot system failures and narrow down root causes independently or with the help of developers or operation engineers. 
• Participate in requirement and design review meetings to stay informed of potential impact to testing cases. 
• Provide testing estimates to the senior team members for review and submission and provides input to the delivery schedule.
• Communicate overall status of testing activities to leaders and project team members.
• Escalate issues to Project Manager and Quality Assurance Manager as needed in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Consistently identify solutions to issues.
• Participate in the development and implementation of structured testing concepts, methodologies, and automated testing and support tools.
• Contribute ideas and effort toward continuous improvement and Quality enablement 
• Communicate overall status of testing activities to Leadership and project team members.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Design and execute test cases to verify data completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Perform SQL queries to validate data in databases and data warehouses.
• Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies, reporting issues to the development team.
• Work with BI, Data Engineering, and Business teams to ensure data integrity.
• Perform functional, regression, and UI testing for web applications.
• Develop and execute test scripts using manual and automated testing tools.
• Validate APIs, browser compatibility, and performance metrics.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Ensure compliance with accessibility and usability standards.

Required Qualifications:

•  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in ETL and web-based application testing.

Technical Skills:

• Strong SQL skills (Joins, Subqueries, Indexing).
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Knowledge of manual testing tools/frameworks.
• API testing experience using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
