Requirements
  • A high school diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience is required.
  • One year of experience is required.
  • Frequent keyboard use and data entry are required.
  • The role requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 0–25 pounds; occasional handling of objects weighing 25–50 pounds; and rare climbing.
  • The role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • The role requires frequent near and far vision, depth perception, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • The role requires frequent hearing and speech for oral communication, including the ability to hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery.
Responsibilities
  • Greet patients or visitors and answer, screen, and route telephone calls.
  • File documents, distribute mail, and perform other general clerical duties.
  • Provide assistance with programs or software for providers when needed.
  • Assemble and maintain patient charts.
  • Make copies, answer phones, make appointments, and maintain records.
  • Maintain office inventory, including ordering supplies.
  • Ensure office equipment is in good working order and request repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members about patient care according to protocol.
  • Support the clinic, department, or program in an administrative capacity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
