Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • RN state license required for primary state of residency and other state if primary is not a nursing compact state. Some positions require licensure in Illinois.
Responsibilities
  • Provides telephonic nursing care by assessing patient/caller needs for areas such as nurse triage, telemonitoring, service referrals, bed placement, and transfers into Baptist Health from outside organizations.
  • Coordinates issue resolution for patients’ needs.
  • Completes call within standard guidelines.
  • Develops plan of care for patient.
  • Uses critical thinking to practice objective rather than subjective modes of reasoning and action.
  • Ensures positive customer relations and interactions.
  • Demonstrates leadership by living the organizations core values in a consistent manner.
  • Develops and uses collaborative relations to build informal and formal teams to accomplish team goals.
  • Supports and delivers quality care by soliciting feedback from customers and takes actions to correct issues.
  • Effectively adjusts to changes in work processes and environment and alters behavior to align with evolving situations.
  • Attends/completes all required safety training programs including education sessions in a timely manner.
  • Handles sensitive or protected information/materials in a HIPAA compliant manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five or more years of multi-disciplinary nursing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical practice in call center setting preferred
