- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Two years of relevant work experience are required.
- Experience with trauma-informed care and preferably a working knowledge of the Sanctuary Model for trauma-informed services are required.
- Understanding of domestic and foreign human trafficking and prostitution is required.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required to travel between sites as needed.
- Completion of a Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check is required.
- Completion of Pennsylvania-approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is required before employment.
- The ability to understand and support The Salvation Army's mission is required.
- The position is contingent on grant funding.
- Assist with the daily functioning of the New Day Drop-in Center during operating hours.
- Coordinate access to resources and services for women entering the drop-in center.
- Provide ongoing crisis intervention and leadership during operating hours.
- Participate in street outreach to individuals experiencing street-based prostitution and trafficking.
- Coordinate services and access to resources for drop-in center participants.
- Ensure that services are culturally sensitive and trauma-informed.
- Conduct initial screening and intake of newly identified victims of human trafficking.
- Provide information and referral services to people entering the drop-in center.
- Complete all daily operations of the drop-in center.
- Certified Peer Specialist or Certified Recovery Specialist certification is preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish ability is preferred.
