Requirements
  • Five years minimum experience operating as a Windows desktop support specialist
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in providing support and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems and/or desktop applications
  • Experience with Windows Desktop and Server operating systems, preferably in a demanding large networked global enterprise environment, including event logs, GPResult, and performance issues
  • Networking issues such as DNS and DHCP
  • Understanding of Active Directory including Group Policy Objects, Organizational Units, and Groups
  • Experience with desktop applications including Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel (including formula use, macro/VBA), PowerPoint, Visio, Communicator, and Microsoft Office plugins
  • Task automation using scripting languages PowerShell, Visual Basic, VB Script, Perl or equivalent
  • Proficiency in creating documentation for end users and support personnel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with experience working in a project team environment
Responsibilities
  • Provide Windows desktop support and troubleshooting for operating systems and desktop applications.
  • Perform troubleshooting related to event logs, GPResult, performance issues, and other system diagnostics.
  • Resolve networking issues including DNS and DHCP.
  • Work with Active Directory including GPO, Organizational Units, and Groups.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel (including formulas and macros), PowerPoint, Visio, Communicator, and Office plugins.
  • Automate tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Visual Basic, VB Script, or Perl.
  • Create documentation for end users and support personnel.
  • Collaborate effectively in a project team environment.
