Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience in food manufacturing is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, Warehouse Management Systems, and FIFO inventory practices is required.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage all daily warehouse operations involving raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Ensure timely receiving, inspection, storage, staging, and issuance of materials to production.
- Develop and maintain warehouse procedures that maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Optimize warehouse layout for product flow, space utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate material availability to support production schedules.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure FIFO and FEFO inventory rotation is consistently followed.
- Work closely with Procurement to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with SQF, FDA, GMP, HACCP, and company food safety requirements.
- Maintain warehouse conditions that protect product integrity and prevent contamination.
- Ensure allergen segregation and proper storage practices are consistently followed.
- Lead, coach, train, and develop warehouse personnel.
- Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
- Ensure proper housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Experience working in SQF-, BRC-, or GFSI-certified facilities is preferred.
