Requirements
  • A master27s degree in Social Work and three years of professional experience in human services or social services programs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based mental health early intervention services for survivors of community violence, including case management, bedside and outpatient clinical screenings and psychoeducation, and multidisciplinary coordination and referrals for medical psychiatric care or other services as needed.
  • Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group trauma-informed mental health counseling for victims of violence in person, in the community, and via telehealth.
  • Track program reporting information and victim services documentation in the TTVIP case management database and patients medical records; maintain documentation to meet reporting and billing requirements and to support case management.
  • Collaborate with TTVIP Client Advocates to conduct in-hospital bedside screenings to assess risk of post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, provide psychoeducation and brief clinical interventions during hospitalization.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, TTVIP-related and community-based meetings; support coordination of services and provide trainings on trauma and community violence victimization.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as determined by the TTVIP Program Director relevant to program needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or LISW-CP in South Carolina is preferred.
  • Three years of post-LMSW experience.
  • Experience working with populations of color and traumatized populations; training in evidence-based treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder and depression related to trauma (e.g., Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Activation for Depression); willingness to complete trainings within the first six months of employment.
  • Knowledge of Excel, SPSS, REDCap, and other databases and electronic medical records to track service delivery (preferred).
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends with advance notice; hybrid position with in-person work required and some remote work allowable at supervisor's discretion.
