The DevOps Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of continuous integration, delivery, and deployment processes within the organization. They ensure that software development and Cloud operations teams work collaboratively to build, test, and deploy applications efficiently and reliably. The DevOps Manager leads the automation of workflows, optimizes infrastructure, and establishes best practices to drive efficiency, reliability, and performance throughout the entire application lifecycle.

The Role:

• Develop and implement DevOps strategies and roadmaps with a focus on Jenkins and AWS to align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers with expertise in Jenkins and AWS, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and IT operations, to establish a culture of continuous improvement and innovation using Jenkins and AWS services.
• Define, implement, and maintain continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines using Jenkins and AWS services to ensure rapid and reliable software releases.
• Oversee the automation of processes, tools, and infrastructure on the AWS platform, leveraging Jenkins for improved efficiency and reduced manual intervention.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using AWS services to proactively identify and resolve issues impacting application performance and stability.
• Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, security, and scalability within Jenkins and AWS environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and methodologies related to Jenkins and AWS to optimize the organization’s DevOps capabilities.
• Manage budgets and resources to ensure the successful execution of Jenkins and AWS-focused DevOps initiatives.
• Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders on Jenkins and AWS-related projects.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, IT operations, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a DevOps or similar role.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Jenkins as a primary automation tool for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
• Expertise in AWS services and architectures, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPC.
• Familiarity with scripting and programming languages, such as Python, Ruby, or Java, with a focus on Jenkins and AWS integrations.
• Proven experience in managing and leading technical teams with a focus on Jenkins and AWS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively across various departments.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the DevOps space, particularly with Jenkins and AWS.
• Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Jenkins Certified Engineer, or other relevant certifications, are a plus.
