Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or other related field.
  • Culinary or Sales related accreditation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling/managing National and Regional restaurant chains.
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing, and a basic understanding of plant operations, a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (experience with MS OneNote is a plus).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to develop interdepartmental relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven strategic selling skills and exposure to strategic selling courses such as Challenger, Miller Heiman, Gartner, etc.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and across multiple departments (Cost Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, R & D, Supply Chain, Legal, Culinary, Quality Assurance, Information Services).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and communicate direction clearly internally and externally.
  • Proficient use of computer and related software.
Responsibilities
  • Maintains open and frequent communication with existing customer base via live visits and virtual meetings.
  • Participates and demonstrates in customer conventions and trade shows.
  • Leads quality assurance/product incident response with active accounts.
  • Conducts regular business reviews with top accounts to review business performance and seek new volume growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with Commodities/Procurement team to deliver ongoing Commodity updates to key customers (e.g., latest trends with wheat, flour, sugar, oils, etc.).
  • Drive strong business relationships to be viewed as an outstanding partner and an extension of customers’ teams, representing CHG in the highest regard.
  • Drafts new Supply Agreements and Pricing Proposals for customers in collaboration with Revenue Growth Management and Legal teams.
  • Increase base business through new accounts.
  • Make warm calls from prospect lists to identify key decision makers.
  • Prospect for potential new accounts.
  • Submit samples for current and new products.
  • Responsible for annual sales budget for targeted accounts.
  • Secure profitable new business as part of annual budget.
  • Communicate with multiple inter-company departments (National Accounts Product Marketing/Commercialization Team, QA, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Purchasing, R&D, Legal, etc.).
  • Manage projects with R&D and Product Marketing teams to expedite new business development.
  • Develop thorough understanding of Target Customer operational capabilities through direct involvement with Customer R&D and restaurant operations.
  • Execute all required administrative work in a timely fashion.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

C.H. Guenther & Son, a commercial baking and food manufacturing company, has acquired Les Aliments Mejicano Inc., a flour tortilla producer with 30 years of experience. The transaction significantly expands C.H. Guenther's tortilla manufacturing and distribution capabilities across North America. Based near Montreal, Mejicano operates state-of-the-art facilities that will enhance C.H. Guenther's supply chain flexibility and capacity to serve foodservice, retail and private-label customers. The acquisition strengthens the company's platform in the fast-growing tortilla category. San Antonio-headquartered C.H. Guenther employs over 5,000 people across 30 manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada and Western Europe. The company is owned by PPC along with management and co-investors. Transaction terms were not disclosed.
