Position Details

NOTE: The work shift for this role is Monday-Friday 2:00pm to 10:00pm
** Potential for shift flexibility depending on the needs of the department
Key Elements Of The Role:
Interviews and screens individuals for supportive counseling;
Plans, implements and evaluates an individualized treatment plan for each patient;
Monitors patient progress and makes recommendations for further treatment if necessary;
Provides individual and group counseling services;
Maintains patient records and reports;
Collaborates with supervisors and clinic staff regarding patient progress and patient services;
May conduct education and information sessions, workshops, and training programs for individuals with substance use disorders and members of their community

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must either have a current certification from NYS Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC),
OR
Possession of the requirements necessary to be designated as a Qualified Health Professional (QHP) with one year of experience or satisfactory completion of a training program in the treatment of substance use disorders.
All applicants must uphold the OASAS Scope of Practice and the Canon of Ethical Principals.
