Requirements
  • Currently working towards a B.S., M.S., Ph.D., or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program
  • Good academic standing
  • Can commit to at least a 12-week internship
  • At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant area
  • Ability to relocate to Boston, MA for the duration of the internship
  • Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox
  • Pursuing a degree in computer science, aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering
  • Experience with deep learning, visual detection, semantic segmentation, temporal models etc
  • Ability to solve problems using principles in math and physics
  • Experience with algorithms and system design
Responsibilities
  • As a member of the computer vision team at Zoox, you will be responsible for developing and improving state-of-the-art machine learning techniques for doing everything from 2D/3D object detection, panoptic segmentation, tracking, to attribute classification
  • You will be working not just with our team of talented engineers and researchers in perception, but cross-functionally with several teams including sensors, prediction, and planning, and you will have access to the best sensor data in the world and an incredible infrastructure for testing and validating your algorithms
