Requirements
  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with a team of developers as well as product stakeholders
  • Experience working within an agile type environment
  • Understand the basics around software deployment processes
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience working with and testing web applications
  • Experience executing/writing manual and automated test cases
  • Programming experience in at least one programming language (e.g. javascript, python, ruby)
  • Knowledge of HTML Dom/CSS Selectors
  • Database knowledge such as writing/understanding SQL queries
  • Knowledge and experience working with/testing Restful APIs
  • Solid understanding in the software development life cycle
  • Understand the difference between testing and quality
  • Ability to work with large sets of complex data and doing some basic data analysis if required
  • Some general skills:

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a time
Responsibilities
  • Create/Update test plans and test cases
  • Create automated test cases for UI and APIs
  • Execute/Run regression tests as part of software releases
  • Work with product owners and developers to review product requirements
  • Ensure successful software releases on a regular release cadence (e.g. continuous, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
  • Evaluate new/existing testing tools from time to time to enhance QA testing
  • Run tests as needed for successful client launches
  • Update/write QA documentation as needed
  • Verify reported incidents
  • Find and report bugs found in software
  • Suggest features that could improve overall software usability and ease of use
  • Run various types of tests around performance, reliability, uptime and security
  • Follow and help establish QA best practices across team and company
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience creating automated test cases with an automation framework (e.g. Selenium)
  • Understanding of a cloud infrastructure tool (e.g. AWS, Azure etc)
  • Experience using the following tools:
  • Jira and Confluence
  • Testrail
  • API monitoring tools (e.g. Postman/Blazemeter)
