Dryft develops an AI-powered operating system for manufacturing that automates and optimizes complex decisions, with the goal of replacing traditional ERP as the central system. It uses context-aware AI agents alongside mathematical optimization to continuously make and execute thousands of small decisions in real time, processing streams of operational data including conversations and notes. It integrates with existing ERPs, which serve as data stores while Dryft handles active decision-making, enabling dynamic adjustments in inventory, procurement, and production. The aim is to reduce inventory carrying costs, prevent stockouts and overstock, and boost overall operational efficiency, positioning Dryft as the successor to traditional ERP systems.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • General Catalyst led Dryft's $5 million seed round on November 10, 2025.
  • Dryft says it delivered seven-figure annual savings for European and U.S. industrial companies.
  • First machine and component manufacturers already use Dryft to automate production decisions.

What critics are saying

  • Seven-figure savings claims demand repeatable deployments; one failed pilot kills trust by 2027.
  • ERP incumbents like SAP and Oracle can bundle planning automation into existing contracts.
  • The company is still pre-scale; without customers, Dryft becomes a thesis, not a business.

What makes Dryft unique

  • Dryft replaces ERP planning with agentic decisions and mathematical optimization.
  • AJ Storch and Leonie Freisinger bring Siemens, Porsche, and German factory experience.
  • General Catalyst-backed positioning gives Dryft credibility with industrial buyers and talent.
