Requirements
  • At least two years of experience, ideally in a school setting
  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
  • NASP/NCSP certification
Responsibilities
  • Screen and evaluate referred children including selecting appropriate instruments, administering tests, observations, and writing reports which state the evaluation findings and provide for educational program recommendations
  • Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and FBAs reports
  • Work with another School Psychologist to provide individual and group services to students - including therapeutic counseling services - that emphasize improved academic and social-emotional outcomes
  • Develop, monitor, review and modify behavior intervention plans
  • Identify students in need of counseling and social services
  • In collaboration with school’s instructional leadership, provide teachers behavioral and academic strategy support, resources, and professional development
  • Collaborate with teachers, Vice Presidents of Special Education, and instructional leadership to coordinate special services to students with IEPs
  • Collaborate with school-based teams to improve student success by providing comprehensive support, with a focus on assisting the attendance team, Response to Intervention (RTI) team, and wellness teams in fostering a positive and thriving school environment
