True Zero Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Nessus Engineer/Admin to join our team of cybersecurity professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering, administration, and consulting within the Nessus platform. As a Nessus Engineer/Admin, you will play a crucial role in setting up, operating, and maintaining Nessus installations for our clients. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success of our cybersecurity initiatives.
Nessus Engineer/Admin Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Nessus deployments for clients, ensuring comprehensive vulnerability scanning and management.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique requirements and provide expert advice on Nessus solutions.
- Perform administrative tasks such as configuring scan policies, managing scan schedules, and interpreting scan results within the Nessus platform.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests using Nessus, identifying security vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
- Monitor and analyze scan results, prioritize vulnerabilities, and provide actionable recommendations to clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Nessus installations in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments in Nessus technology.
Nessus Engineer/Admin Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Proven experience working as a Nessus Engineer/Admin, with a strong understanding of Nessus deployments, operations, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in administering Nessus technologies, including scan policy creation, scan result analysis, and integration with vulnerability management systems.
- Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Relevant certifications such as Tenable Certified Nessus Auditor (TCNA) or Tenable Certified Nessus Engineer (TCNE) are highly desirable.
U.S. Citizenship is required as this is in support of a Federal Customer.
