  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Proven experience working as a Nessus Engineer/Admin, with a strong understanding of Nessus deployments, operations, and maintenance
  • Proficiency in administering Nessus technologies, including scan policy creation, scan result analysis, and integration with vulnerability management systems
  • Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members
  • Relevant certifications such as Tenable Certified Nessus Auditor (TCNA) or Tenable Certified Nessus Engineer (TCNE) are highly desirable

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain Nessus deployments for clients, ensuring comprehensive vulnerability scanning and management
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their unique requirements and provide expert advice on Nessus solutions
  • Perform administrative tasks such as configuring scan policies, managing scan schedules, and interpreting scan results within the Nessus platform
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests using Nessus, identifying security vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies
  • Monitor and analyze scan results, prioritize vulnerabilities, and provide actionable recommendations to clients
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Nessus installations in a timely manner
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments in Nessus technology
