Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience of at least 10 years in relevant fields or similar is required
  • 10+ years of experience in a logistics management position is required
  • Proven track record of incremental and breakthrough improvements
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to lead and develop associates and managers
  • Ability to manage deliverables and metrics against aggressive targets and timelines
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner
  • Ability to work with and through teams to achieve results

  • Ability to stand/sit for an extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance

Responsibilities
  • Oversees productivity, inventory management, quality and safety in accordance with company needs and customer requirements
  • Establishes objective supporting company initiatives in the areas of financial performance, safety, quality and customer service in compliance with all applicable internal and external policies
  • Provides feedback for key quality financial, and safety reports
  • Provides mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through appropriate coaching, leadership development and training, and performance management
  • Effectively manage multiple teams and cross-functional relationships, to ensure business initiatives, process improvements, and development programs and systems are being deployed and adopted as planned
  • Identifies opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources, and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
  • Provides direction, development and leadership to managers and supervisors
  • Active participation in employee relations; regularly communicating and coaching employees
  • Regularly participating in recruiting, and communicating with external candidates
  • Hires, trains, develops and appraises staff effectively
  • Ensures all safety and operational procedures and processes are implemented and maintained
  • Coordinates operational activities through planning with departmental managers and supervisors to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Implements and supports consistent communication between Inspection Centers, local delivery hubs and Phoenix headquarters
  • Timely and effectively communicate information to stakeholders
  • Supports leadership in annual business planning, organizational structuring, and staffing
