Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Project Management 1 based out of the Spectrum Center facilities in San Diego. This position will be supporting Field Engineering and deployed programs by performing administrative, operational planning and technical support in the sustainment and operations of fielded systems. This position resides in San Diego and is in direct support of both the CONUS and OCONUS teams.
What You’ll get to Do:
The selected candidate will support the E&S Field Engineering Networked Information Solutions team with a variety of duties. The successful candidate will be an independent and solution-oriented thinker with sharp attention to detail and have a track record of excelling in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, and collaborative team-based environment. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and organize tasks independently, strong office management and interpersonal skills, and be self-motivated with the ability to collaborate well in a team environment. This position will primarily support the Deployment Readiness and Support Team. The nature of the position involves exposure to sensitive and private information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment. Position responsibilities include:
Managing and maintaining detailed travel schedules for our OCONUS team
Reporting to Senior Management with travel, expense and schedule related status and reports
Conduct trend analysis and report data, e.g. manning shortfalls and requirements and forecast manning impacts to scheduled operations
Collect data from multiple sources, perform collation, maintain multiple spreadsheets and apply data to weekly, monthly and required products
Coordinate and plan for employees to meet immigration requirements
Interface with all layers of functional and program management and vendors
Review expense reports for accuracy and completeness
Position requires strong working relationships with peers. Candidate should enjoy the challenges of working in a dynamic environment within the organization. Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively on project and functional teams; development of performance metrics, charts and ad-hoc reports; ability to communicate and summarize detailed data to management.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 6 months’ relevant experience. 4 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Demonstrated experience managing multiple administrative projects and initiatives.
Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
Travel up to 10% may be required
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Highly skilled with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
Experience and proficiency with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system
Experience and proficiency with iTRIP travel reporting system
Active or current Secret clearance
Salary Range: $61,200.00 - $91,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
