Requirements
  • At least 7.5 years of experience in AWS Administration.
  • 15 years of full-time education.
  • AWS Administration experience, including AWS infrastructure and architecture.
  • Experience providing L2/L3 support for Linux (RHEL) and Windows servers hosted on AWS infrastructure.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and administering Linux servers.
  • Knowledge of AWS Landing Zone Solution, AWS subscription and Marketplace management, demand management using Trusted Advisor or AWS Forecast, cluster configuration, auto scaling, performance tuning, storage optimization, RHEL upgrades, Red Hat Satellite administration, licensing, patch and package management, incident and change management, and health and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with AWS services and technologies including EC2, EBS, Security Groups, VPC, S3, Auto Scaling Groups, Elastic Load Balancing, Route 53, Cloud WAN, RDS, ECS, EKS, EFS, FSx, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, AWS WorkSpaces, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Elasticsearch, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Storage Gateway, and Secure File Transfer Protocol.
  • Ability to design, build, and configure AWS services to meet business process and application requirements.
  • Ability to execute and document infrastructure changes and prepare work instructions.
  • Ability to report on and participate in governance and audit activities.
  • Ability to support client, stakeholder, third-party vendor, offshore, and onshore relationships while adhering to service-level agreements and deliverables.
  • Ability to respond promptly, follow up, and maintain ownership through issue closure.
Responsibilities
  • Support operations and manage delivery for production systems and services according to operational requirements and service agreements.
  • Provide overall support, administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, evolution, and continuous improvement for production systems.
  • Administer AWS infrastructure, Linux and Windows environments, virtual networks, storage, security, monitoring, and backup.
  • Develop and execute scripts and automations using Ansible, Python, and Terraform.
  • Manage environment incidents with a focus on service restoration.
  • Provide operations support for AWS-hosted virtual machines, networks, storage, security, Docker, and container environments.
  • Configure and manage clusters, auto scaling, operating-system upgrades, patching, packages, monitoring, performance, and storage.
  • Check server health, performance, and capacity alerts and take preventive and remedial action.
  • Execute and document infrastructure changes and prepare work instructions.
  • Participate in governance and audit activities.
  • Bridge relationships among offshore, onshore, client, stakeholder, and third-party vendor support teams.
  • Maintain client confidence by adhering to service-level agreements and deliverables.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working experience with ServiceNow for incident, change, and problem management.
  • Scripting knowledge in Shell scripting, JSON, Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Exposure to Lambda Python scripts.
  • Monitoring exposure in Splunk.
  • AWS Solutions Architect, Red Hat Linux, or ITIL certification.
  • Understanding of CI/CD.

Accenture shares down 27%, but 11.5% yield available through put options at 35% discount

Accenture trades 37% below its 52-week high after falling 27% over the past year. In fiscal Q3 2026, new bookings declined and some managed services deals slipped into fiscal 2027. The company generated $73.1 billion in revenue over the past twelve months, with operating margins widening to 17% in Q3. Managed services revenue grew 5% in local currency. In the first nine months of fiscal 2026, clients made 104 quarterly bookings exceeding $100 million, up 13% year-on-year. Consulting revenue grew just 1% in local currency in Q3. Management attributes the slowdown to the Middle East conflict affecting regional and discretionary spending. The CEO acknowledged that client budgets have not been growing, with spending simply being redirected rather than increased.

Accenture appoints Emma Chalwin as chief marketing officer

Accenture has appointed Emma Chalwin as Chief Marketing Officer, effective 1 October 2026. She will oversee global marketing and communications, reporting to Chair and CEO Julie Sweet. Chalwin joins from Workday, where she served as CMO. She previously held senior marketing roles at Salesforce, Adobe, McAfee, and Macrovision, bringing over 30 years of global marketing leadership experience. Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure.
