HHC names new Cancer Institute physician-in-chief. July 28, 2026 Nationally recognized hematologic oncologist and physician executive Adam M. Boruchov, MD, will join Hartford HealthCare in July as physician-in-chief of the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute. Dr. Boruchov succeeds Peter Yu, MD, who is stepping down after more than a decade of leadership and will transition to the honorary role of physician-in-chief emeritus. Dr. Yu has played a pivotal role in building the Cancer Institute into a leading integrated cancer program known for clinical excellence, innovation and patient-centered care across Connecticut. In his emeritus role, Dr. Yu will continue advancing strategic oncology informatics initiatives in partnership with Hartford HealthCare leadership. Dr. Boruchov joins Hartford HealthCare from Northwell Health, formerly Nuvance Health, where he served as senior vice president and chair of the Cancer Institute.
