Overview
We are seeking a full-time Associate Director, Commerce with extensive experience managing display campaigns on Amazon. You will be responsible for delivering on market share growth across Amazon. The Commerce Associate Director reports to the Amazon Commerce Director and will be responsible for leading a team of Commerce Display Managers and Associates. This role will be client facing, and requires strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant work experience of hands-on-keyboard experience in managing Paid Display campaigns on Amazon DSP (O&O, Offsite and Video) required
- Experience working with Fortune 100 brands and client-facing strategy experience required
- Experience leading planning, execution and optimization of Display campaigns and be responsible for optimizing, implementing, and analyzing marketing activities
- Experience with advanced bidding strategies and machine learning algorithms to enhance campaign performance on Amazon DSP
- Previous experience with high-volume and fast paced account with large retail media budgets, preferred
- Proven ability to leverage analytics and to apply a data-driven approach to media planning and optimization that delivers on business outcomes
- Proven ability to manage and develop junior talent within the team
- Ability to develop trust and strong relationships with client teams
Responsibilities
The goal of the Associate Director is to develop and present strategic, multi-channel media plans to meet and exceed client objectives. They have proven experience developing retail media processes and best practices. They lead projects from kickoff to completion. They are knowledgeable of Amazon DSP (O&O, Offsite and Video) and can speak holistically of the Amazon ecosystem. They ensure that the retail team understands overall strategy and provide actionable next steps with deadlines. They have industry knowledge including current trends, retailer information, and business philosophies. They are experienced leading, managing and mentoring teams and providing actionable feedback. They help develop commerce processes, frameworks and best practices for effective ways of working. They are accountable for executional excellence. As new retailers and opportunities are available, they help identify and vet new challenges and platform capabilities for the client.
General tasks include, but not limited to:
- Collaborate with Marketing Science to identify Test & Learn opportunities & framework
- Partner with Amazon Ads on ongoing activation strategy and performance
- Brand & Performance budget tracking for campaign or fiscal flight, ensuring we always match approved budgets on financial documents
- Build tactical strategy during planning cycles – annual, quarterly, incremental.
- Main POC to address client questions and ad hoc requests
- Internal Agency fee discussions (ex: Platform, DV, etc)
- Conduct Always On display training for junior team members, in partnership with Director
- Final sign off on pre-launch QA before campaigns go live
- Oversee budget calculator maintenance to ensure accuracy
- Support manager in refining QA doc parameters as campaigns evolve over time

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Compensation Range
$70,000—$125,000 USD
