Role Overview:
Wunderkind is looking for a HR Business Partner with a deep understanding of the unique dynamics of tech teams. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strategic HR support, driving positive outcomes for tech organizations, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
The HRBP, Technology, will serve as the primary HR point of contact for our technology population, partnering closely with leadership and employees in Engineering and Product to deliver high-impact HR advisory support.
This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs of a tech workforce (~200 employees globally) a scaling SaaS marketing technology company. The HRBP will focus on seamless day-to-day HR support and provide strategic guidance to support the growth and success of the tech teams across the business, as well as play a key role in the maturation of the HR function globally.
This role will report into the Head of People and is onsite 4 days per week (Mon-Thu)
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Service Delivery:
- Provide frontline HR support to the tech population, addressing employee inquiries, recruitment needs, performance management, and employee relations.
- Partner with the talent acquisition team to manage tech recruitment and internal mobility.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, and support the rollout of new HR systems and practices.
2. Strategic HR Partnership:
- Advise tech leaders on HR strategies that align with business objectives, including workforce planning, talent development, and retention strategies.
- Analyze HR data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
3. Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Handle complex employee relations issues, conducting investigations and ensuring resolutions that are fair and consistent with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, particularly as they relate to the tech workforce.
4. Collaboration & Integration:
- Work closely with HR teams across talent management, total rewards, and HR operations to deliver cohesive HR services.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and other business functions to support the evolving needs of the tech teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years as an HR Business Partner, with significant experience supporting a tech population.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in a tech (preferably SaaS) business with a global footprint is strongly preferred.
- Strong advisory and coaching skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive HR initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex employee relations issues and deliver practical, business-aligned solutions.
- Proficiency in HRIS and HR analytics tools, with the ability to leverage data to drive HR strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
The base salary range for this role is $125,000-$145,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location. This may vary depending on living location and market rate.
