Requirements
  • 0-10 years of experience in quality or manufacturing environments.
  • A four-year technical degree in an electrical, electronics, or mechanically oriented curriculum.
  • Internship or co-op experience is preferred.
  • Must enjoy hands-on product exposure.
  • Electrical skills and experience are required.
  • AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software is a must.
  • Multitasking, problem-solving, and strong communication skills are required.
  • Strong emphasis on perfect product quality and maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Work with the Quality Manager to develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures.
  • Spend 95% of the workday on the manufacturing floor implementing quality solutions and working on major projects.
  • Accept total responsibility for product quality, including procured and in-house parts, assembly process, functional testing, and packaging of finished product.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mentality with a focus on Kaizen (small changes for the better).
  • Perform quality audits, quality administrative inspections, and support staff with quality-related questions.
  • Organize and present audit findings in a measurable manner to obtain deliverables and initiate corrective actions.
  • Review manufacturing and quality instructions, methods, and processes to identify and improve product build quality.
  • Work with the Quality Manager to manage the Quality Management System for third-party audit organizations.
  • Report directly to the Quality Manager for the facility.
  • Review internal and external quality data for assigned product groups to drive product/process improvements and improve reliability; internal data to guide production efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with plant engineers and line technicians to improve production processes to build quality into the product and increase output.
  • Spend the majority of the day on the production floor auditing processes and products, implementing quality assurance/quality control processes, and supporting the assigned product groups.
