- Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills with experience in a manufacturing setting are required.
- Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot engineering systems is required.
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management system platforms and lean manufacturing principles is required.
- A completed mechanical or electrical apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification is required.
- Carry out maintenance and installation of engineering services, plant, and equipment within a manufacturing environment.
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen events.
- Participate in planned maintenance shutdowns and major repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and maintenance history.
- Provide operational cover for shift engineers when required.
- An HNC or HND qualification is desirable.
- Experience with plastic extrusion or injection moulding is a plus.
- IPAF and FLT training are desirable.
