Job Description:

The Total Rewards, Benefits and Payroll Manager will work with senior management to ensure that compensation and benefits programs support the organization’s business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization’s compensation, HRIS (BambooHR, Sequoia, Rippling), payroll,  and benefits programs, including base pay, incentive pay, health and welfare benefits, and retirement benefits. This role is responsible for leading and managing the administration and maintenance of the company’s total rewards and HR-related systems.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead the Total Rewards Strategy for US, Canada, and UK; create and review budgets with our Finance team. Oversee the implementation of total rewards programs, including salary and benefits plans, performance management, payroll, human resources information management, and recognition programs, including our annual compensation reviews and benchmarking

• Design and administInclusive and Equitable benefits to attract and retain the best talent

• Review and administer payroll across all of our entities and locations

• Design and administer employee benefits globally; track variance and evaluate new benefits while designing annual benefits strategy, and administering open enrollment

• Manage Sales Incentive Structures and payouts of stock-related compensation

• Manage ERISA, ACA, EEO compliance and 401(k) audits

• Experience handling remotely distributed workforce across 20+ states in the US, Canada and the UK/EU

• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to total rewards and people practice systems and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations globally..

• Ensure data integrity – working with finance and people operations to guarantee the timely update of data.

• Ensure that systems are in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

• Manage the preparation and submission of reports related to total rewards and HR systems

• Collaborate with other members of the People Team to identify and analyze data to inform decisions related to total rewards and HR systems.

• Communicate and educate employees on total rewards and HR systems, including policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers related to total rewards and HR systems.

• Monitor and analyze trends in total rewards and HR systems to ensure the company stays competitive in the marketplace.

• Establish employee annual compensation and benefit statements to increase their knowledge of company benefit packages.

• Share market data with leaders periodically throughout the year and during budget planning process to assist with budgeting employee increases.

• Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll related matters.

• Process deductions related to ESPP plan, garnishments, and phone and internet stipends.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of  compensation policy that supports the organization’s needs and is responsive to changing conditions

• Participate in compensation and market surveys

• Implement approved compensation changes 

• Monitor employee compensation, alerting management of any potential issues

• Conduct FLSA analysis and maintain appropriate documentation

Qualifications and Skills:

• 8+ years of experience working with Total Rewards, benefits and payroll in the U.S. and internationally.

• Proficiency in payroll software programs and benefits administration, plus HR Systems.

• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Working knowledge of relevant legal payroll regulations.

• Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
