Overview

We are hiring a Production Intern to helpmanufacture our next generation plant-based meat alternatives. You will work closely with our production team to create a variety of products to fulfill our massively growing internal and external demand. You will also assist in developing processes and technologies to scale new plant-based meat prototypes.

Responsibilities

• You’ll work with the Production team to create and fulfill the demand for Tender products. You’ll help ensure our products meet our rigorous internal quality standards and are produced following good manufacturing practices and food safety standards.
• You’ll be responsible for your own dedicated project, designing experiments and reporting on progress. You’ll contribute to the development of new Tender products.
• You’ll have the opportunity to explore other teams at Tender and to develop skills outside of production.
• You’ll routinely communicate with our team members, strategic partners, manufacturers, and industry experts to improve our processes and products.

About You

• You are currently enrolled in a Culinary Science, Food Science, Process Engineering, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree program.
  • Bonus: You have experience and/or interest in food!
• You are excited about joining an early-stage food technology startup, where you will have a dynamic role and will work autonomously on high-impact projects.
• You enjoy hands-on experimental work and look forward to making samples.
• You can stay on your feet for long periods of time and enjoy fast-paced working environments.
• You are experienced in following Standard Operating Procedures and optimizing processes where possible.
• You have a passion to change the world for the better.
• You have strong organizational skills and demonstrated experience prioritizing multiple deliverables.
• You demonstrate strong attention to detail and can spot what others have missed.
• You can commit to a 3-month (or longer) internship.
