DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician who is looking to make an exceptional difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.
Some details about this position:
• No Dialysis experience is required - we spend the first 9-12 weeks in paid training!!
• Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic
• Potential to float to various clinics
• You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
What you can expect:
• Direct Patient Care: Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Educate patient on kidney disease.
• Technician Duties: To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.
• Working on a cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be comfortable working around blood and needles and mixing acid or bicarb
• Must be comfortable working 8-12 hour shifts, 3-4 days per week, flexible in schedule
• Health care experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
