  • BS in Engineering with a minimum 8+ years of relevant experience required
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in the design and production axles, driveline, transmission, or powertrain systems. Preferred experience in validation of electric or hybrid powertrains
  • 2+ years' experience managing of resident engineering or production engineering teams for drivelines, eAxles or similar applications
  • Understanding of production manufacturing methods and processes for driveline, transmission, and/or powertrain systems. Preferred experience with manufacturing and production of eAxles or similar
  • Experience in the evaluation and execution of concessions and deviations of components
  • Application and experience in root cause analysis and the methods/tools to solve problems
  • Understanding and experience in applications with the following components: Gears, bearings, shafts, electric motors, and other driveline components
  • Experience in working with cross functional groups including manufacturing and component suppliers
  • Fundamental understanding of electric powertrains
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
  • Lead series product engineering team from launch to end of product life for the Driveunit and driveline system
  • Lead product improvements for quality, cost, or manufacturing
  • Confirm the continual quality of series production driveline system products including the driveunit, halfshafts, and mounts
  • The position is responsible for working with quality and service to identify and implement changes as necessary for issues identified in production
  • Complete root cause analysis using Rivian methods to document and correct any issues found in testing
  • Lead and approve concessions and deviations for components. Coordination with other groups for the verifications of any design or process changes
  • Responsible for leading and approving professional level reports to management
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting production status and risk to management
  • Management and mentoring of direct reports
