About The Job:

The Oklahoma State Treasurer (OST) is seeking an individual with significant demonstrated program and clerical experience. This position requires a detail-oriented and hard-working individual to fill the role of Unclaimed Property Administrative Programs Officer.

This position may be assigned duties related to initiating correspondence, developing, and maintaining files, managing information, using data processing equipment, sorting, filing, maintaining records, answering phones, and conducting multiple types of inventories and supporting public auctions of unclaimed safe deposit box contents when required.

This position is also responsible for extensive administrative work involved in the planning, review, and maintenance of program-wide activities, attending or participating in unclaimed property promotional events, and other duties assigned within the Unclaimed Property (UP) Division of the Office of the State Treasurer.

General Function:

Aids in various types of work with varying degrees of complexity related to UP program operation, promoting program awareness through customer relation activities. Work is guided by a wide variety of Federal and State rules and regulations. Duties are performed with a considerable degree of independence, with administrative direction from the UP Operations Manager, UP Assistant Director, and UP Director.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is typically performed in an office setting with a climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise level. While performing the duties of the job, employee is required to communicate, move about inside the office, make 10-key entries, and utilize a keyboard. Moderate bending and lifting are required for boxes and materials weighing up to 50lbs. This position requires long periods of remaining in a stationary position and daily use of a computer and phone.

Essential Functions:

The functions of this job include but are not limited to:

• Assists with all functions related to administration of the Unclaimed Property Division program as assigned.

• Assists with the daily work in the administrative function of the division; augments customer service staffing as required.

• Under supervision, may assist in the interpretation of program policies, rules, procedures, relevant laws, and applicable guidelines affecting daily operations.

• Research’s/reviews claims, handles concerns of claimants in a timely manner.

• Performs reconciliations, reviews receipts, and reports.

• Serves as program representative for promotional broadcasts and photo-ops when required.

• May attend NAUPA and NAST conferences on behalf of OST as required.

• Ensures the accuracy of reports and claims as assigned.

• Assists the UP Administrative Programs Specialist with safe deposit inventories and auction preparations as required.

• Analyzes and reviews documentation as assigned by the UP Operations Manager.
