Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical, mechanical, or related Engineering or physical science
  • At least 5 years of experience with B.S. degree or at least 3 years of experience with M.S. degree
  • Experience in media deposition and/or semiconductor manufacturing equipment design, operations, installation, and sustaining
  • Experience with SolidWorks/CAD and geometric tolerance
  • Hands-on experience with installation and machine troubleshooting for Thin Film (PVD/CVD) process equipment
  • Direct experience on Canon Anelva sputter equipment
  • Experience in PLC, HMI/GOT, Mitsubishi GT Designer, and GX Developer software
  • PC skills including MS Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • In-depth understanding and practice of equipment design and testing, operations, documentation, maintenance
  • Good understanding of HDD media or semiconductor manufacturing process technology and cleanroom requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and people skills
  • Ability to work with technicians and transfer technical knowledge effectively
Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of tool hardware design, equipment reconfiguration, and install tasks
  • Drive specification, technical negotiation with vendors, design and documentation
  • Coordinate manpower resources, configuration changes, tool/hardware installation, qualification testing
  • Generate accurate and detailed documentation for various stakeholders
  • Provide training for reconfiguration, expansion, and installation of media deposition tools and hardware
  • Monitor and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Review and analyze equipment-related downtime, provide root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair down tool situations
  • Review and evaluate tool assembly, hardware, and spare parts inputs
  • Contribute to the development of concepts and techniques
  • Complete complex tasks creatively and effectively
  • Contribute to the improvement of equipment design, testing, operations, and maintenance
