Invitae is inviting applications from individuals with a background in human genetics and genomics to join our clinical team in providing remote support to clinicians and patients as part of our Clinical Consultation Services team. Team members are responsible first and foremost for providing an excellent customer service experience by being available to customers to answer clinical questions, talk through cases, and provide clinically useful information. They also provide customer service to patients with questions about the test process or results. This position requires a willingness to learn and a dedication to patient health. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with an experienced team of California-licensed laboratory directors, board-certified medical geneticists and genetic counselors, genomics scientists, bioinformaticians, and other professionals who aim to bring comprehensive diagnostic and preventive genetic testing to the world.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm EST
What you will do:
- Point person for client’s clinical inquiries (via phone and email)
- Review orders for clinical appropriateness and perform outreach as necessary
- Participate in or take leadership of particular operations and development projects as required
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in genetics or a related field required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and task management skills
- Outstanding phone and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a CLIA diagnostic laboratory and familiarity with next-generation sequencing is beneficial
- Spanish-speaking is a plus

This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
