The Senior Vice President & GM, Provider Operations serves a key role on the Provider Operations Leadership Team. The position provides direction, leadership and management to a Zone Provider Operations team with direct reports comprised of Vice Presidents. The SVP & GM, Provider Operations is responsible for delivering world class service while delivering on financial commitments within a culture that is consistent with the values of Datavant. This position will have full P&L responsibility including service delivery, productivity, employee engagement, account management, and strategic planning.
You will:
- Owns the overall financial performance for zone, establishing and managing budgets and forecasts
- Collaborates with senior leaders to develop zone strategy in context to Datavant’s overarching vision and mission applied to the dynamics of the local market
- Provides leadership at all levels of the organization, implements actions to ensure each goal is achievable, makes the tough calls
- Achieves financial outcomes while establishing and meeting key performance indicators
- Ensures company has the best people necessary to achieve current and future business needs, including but not limited to, recruiting and selecting new leaders, mentoring existing leaders, and holding others accountable for recruiting and mentoring
- Develops, implements and executes on performance plans to encourage and achieve improvement in underperforming areas
- Lead the day-to-day service delivery operations and success of our customers
- Defines and implements simple and effective policies that drive efficient operations
- Develops, implements and executes on account success plans to deliver on customer expectations and accelerate growth within each customer
- Utilizes resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, balancing between centralized, decentralized and outsourced options
- Drives associate engagement and builds culture that is aligned with company’s values
- Meets or exceeds customer expectations while balancing customer needs and wants with what is best for the company
- Sets a high bar for performance
- Ensures company maintains competitive advantage and takes steps necessary to close gaps
- Lead senior regional operation leaders and an organization comprised of 1000+ total team members
- Day to day management of executive customer relationships including C-level leadership at customer sites including a regular cadence of customer meetings
- Chaperone a data driven culture on a foundation of continuous improvement
- Actively participate within the Operations Leadership Team to ensure collaboration and best practice sharing amongst the broader portfolio
- Full P&L management including annual and strategic planning cycles
- Actively participate in industry associations and regulatory engagements to represent Datavant as the premier provider of release of information (ROI) services in the healthcare industry
- Proven developer/coach of people utilizing transparency and open dialog to promote a culture of accountability
- Maniacal focus on key measures combined with a high bias for action
- Relentlessly protect patient information on behalf of providers, patients, and government entities
- Consistently represent the highest standard for upholding security and confidentiality regulations, and facility policies and procedures for access and review of all medical records
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in healthcare information technology and services or related field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in leadership role
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing customer relationships
- Proven track record of managing P&L including budgeting and forecasting
- Proven track record of setting and achieving goal
- Strong financial and business acumen, critical thinking, decision making abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Executive presentation skills
- Ability to work well in fast-paced changing environment and is comfortable with ambiguity
- Negotiation, mediation and conflict management skills
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry and a highly regulated environment
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
