Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with artificial intelligence concepts and tools, including machine learning, generative artificial intelligence, data analytics, or prompt engineering, is required.
  • Strong communication and instructional skills appropriate for college-level teaching are required.
  • A combination of education and significant industry experience, including a minimum of five years, may be considered in place of formal degree requirements.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence applications and tools used across multiple industries is required.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design for technology-based courses is required.
  • Knowledge of college policies, FERPA, and online education best practices is required.
  • Ability to deliver complex technical content clearly to diverse learners is required.
  • Ability to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in diverse student populations is required.
  • Regular use of computers and other instructional technology is required.
  • Evening or weekend availability may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with the college's approved artificial intelligence curriculum and learning outcomes.
  • Introduce students to foundational artificial intelligence concepts, terminology, and real-world applications across business, education, healthcare, and technology.
  • Facilitate discussions on the ethical, social, and economic implications of artificial intelligence.
  • Demonstrate practical use of artificial intelligence tools and platforms, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, and Perplexity, and guide students in hands-on projects.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work and assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in accordance with college policies.
  • Stay current with emerging artificial intelligence tools and integrate new technologies into instruction where appropriate.
  • Participate in required orientation, meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Use the college's learning management system to post materials, communicate with students, and assess assignments.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Occasional travel to other instructional sites or events may be required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in a related discipline or a combination of education and industry experience in artificial intelligence, data science, or emerging technologies is preferred.
  • College-level or adult-education teaching experience is preferred, including experience with online and hybrid platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or Canvas.
  • A demonstrated commitment to ethical artificial intelligence practices and the responsible use of emerging technologies is preferred.
  • Industry certifications or practical experience with AI-driven applications, data visualization, or applied data analytics is preferred.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools for productivity, creative applications, or data analysis is preferred.
  • Adaptability and collaboration skills are preferred.
