  • Be a US Citizen who is currently located in the United States for the current three consecutive years and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years’ experience; Master's degree and 4 years’ experience; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in policy analysis and policy writing either in Government (federal, state, or local).
  • Previous experience in policy writing, preferably IT-related topics, is required.
  • Expertise and experience with working in a customer 'start-up' space, where all new policies are needed.
  • Knowledge of the principles and methodologies of business process reengineering.
  • Knowledge of the current and emerging methods and developments in the field of IT management.
  • Knowledge of the concepts, characteristics, and capabilities of information technology security and systems.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize and deliver high-quality, accurate work within targeted deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, draft, and maintain IT-related policies to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, current organizational standards, and IT objectives.
  • Create strategy, through policy and other channels, to educate workforce of proposed and ongoing efforts to drive efficiency, new initiatives, standardize IT concepts, ensure compliance with federal policies, and/or revise existing standards.
  • Develop and/or update communication outreach SOPs, policy directives, and other related processes and procedures.
  • Analyze business processes to determine documentation requirements.
  • Gather information through research, SME interviews, source documents, and review of existing documentation.
  • Write various types of documentation, such as policies and operational procedures.
  • Manage regular reviews with SMEs to maintain accuracy and completeness of documents.
  • Create documents that comply with federal government customer’s standards on language, writing style, structure, and format.
