Requirements
  • Meaningful experience in office management, facilities, or a similar operations role.
  • Comfort managing vendors and contractors.
  • Ability to perform regular moderate lifting and occasionally lift and briefly carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to move frequently between office locations and walk between sites.
  • U.S. work authorization is required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first line of defense for facilities and technical issues involving WiFi, printers, audiovisual equipment, and fixtures; diagnose and fix issues, arrange workarounds, and coordinate longer-term repairs with vendors, contractors, and building management.
  • Own ordering, stocking, and curation of snacks, beverages, and office supplies across three sites, using feedback and consumption data to build scalable procurement systems.
  • Maintain warm, clean, and productive offices; assess furniture and equipment, manage replacements end to end, and improve shared spaces based on user feedback.
  • Manage relationships with co-tenants and building management through regular communication, coordinate shared space use, and resolve points of tension.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding by preparing workspaces, access credentials, supplies, and building logistics and maintaining current assets and access.
  • Maintain accurate facilities and operations spending records across three locations, track expenditures against budget, flag variances, and provide regular summaries to leadership.
  • Establish and own health and safety practices, including first-aid supply maintenance, emergency procedure documentation, and coordination on fire, security, and accessibility requirements.

  • Hands-on facilities, sites, or office management experience.
  • Comfort troubleshooting everyday office technology, including WiFi and networking, printers, and audiovisual equipment, or ability to learn it quickly.
  • An eye for interior design, space planning, or hospitality.
  • Experience with procurement, inventory, or budget-tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with the AI safety landscape or strong motivation to build it quickly.
