Overview

We are seeking an experienced full-stack developer to join our risk team. This role is critical in designing, building and maintaining the in-house risk engine, which supports real-time calculation and monitor of PnL, VaR, greeks, risk slides, and other key risk metrics.

The ideal candidate will have strong backend and frontend development skills, a deep understanding of financial systems, and the ability to work closely with quantitative analysts and market risk analysts to translate complex financial models into robust, production-ready applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-impact real-time risk systems used daily by risk, traders, and executives, including:
  • 24/5 live PnL tracking
  • VaR and other exposure calculations
  • Web-based risk dashboards
  • Interactive and user-friendly analytical tools
  • Efficient and robust alerting system
• Collaborate with the rest of the risk team to understand requirements, implement risk models, and ensure performance and scalability of the risk systems.
• Build responsive and intuitive front-end interfaces for visualizing and interacting with risk metrics.
• Optimize system performance and reliability, ensuring low-latency and high-availability under real-time trading conditions.
• Support and enhance applications that leverage large language model (LLM) APIs for automation, analysis, and workflow improvements.
• Write clean, well-documented, and tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and lead design discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack developer in the financial industry, preferably within proprietary trading.
• Strong proficiency in Python, especially for data processing, backend logic, and model integration.
• Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Familiarity with real-time data visualization.
•  Familiarity with LLMs and experience using APIs for practical applications is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets, as well as a solid understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL stores (e.g. Redis).
• Solid understanding of data structures, APIs, and real-time data processing.
• Experience working with quants or implementing quantitative models is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Annual compensation range $150,000 - $200,000 base + discretionary bonus eligibility
