  • Candidates must be enrolled at an accredited university majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related degree.
  • Candidates must be able to work at least 30 hours a week during regular business hours.
  • Candidates must be able to read equipment documentation and construction shop drawings.
  • Candidates must be able to attend periodic jobsite and shop visits, including navigating active construction areas and occasionally climbing stairs or ladders, using passenger hoists, and handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Candidates must demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, independent work ability, teamwork, attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate regularly with the Quality Team to discuss quality-related observations and warranty trends and support resolution of quality concerns.
  • Support root cause analysis of events that compromise quality on construction projects and support initiatives that ensure sustainable solutions.
  • Review equipment documentation and construction shop drawings to mitigate quality and safety risks and identify economization opportunities.
  • Attend periodic jobsite and shop visits to learn about mechanical and plumbing systems, identify installation compliance with quality standards, and identify lean risks to safety and productivity.
  • Maintain and update the warranty call log by tracking manufacturer and vendor information, root cause, call status, and project-team updates to support company-wide trend tracking.
  • Assist warranty coordinators by scheduling service calls with dispatch and coordinating technician availability.
  • Facilitate the creation of permanent reporting capabilities using Smartsheet or other software and technologies for the Quality team and internal customers.
  • Build visualizations for warranty and rework data.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis meetings.
