- The candidate must be able to work independently.
- The candidate must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Receive and log concrete and soil samples, along with samples for additional testing as needed.
- Perform and understand various laboratory test procedures.
- Assist with AMRL and CCRL regulatory-standard assessments.
- Assist with the Braun laboratory quality system.
- Input and reduce laboratory test data in standard office formats and file systems.
- Maintain laboratory equipment in good operating condition.
- Perform other miscellaneous laboratory tasks as assigned.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- MoDOT or KDOT HMA certification is strongly preferred.
- MoDOT or KDOT Soils certification is strongly preferred.
