Requirements
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 10-12 years of relevant industry experience. Experience in the medical device industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of digital signal processing concepts such as filtering, frequency analysis, linear algebra, etc
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms highly preferred
  • Strong experience applying advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to solve engineering problems
  • Experience with physiological signals such as ECG, PPG, EEG, etc. a plus
  • Excellent coding skills using Python. Familiarity with MATLAB and/or C/C++ a plus
  • Experience with AWS Cloud tools for large data processing a plus
  • Experience leading projects within a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Pay range: $180,000 - $200,000
Responsibilities
  • Drive the design, development, and testing of signal processing and control algorithms used in life-saving wearable medical devices
  • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of machine learning algorithms used to control life-saving wearable medical devices and to analyze data uploaded from wearable devices to the Cloud
  • Contribute to strategic planning of algorithm development needs across the business
  • Collaborate with the Software Team to define Cloud-based data architectures for wearable device data and business operations needs, including transformations, storage, and interfaces with machine learning algorithms
  • Drive the implementation of scalable methods, processes, and tools that facilitate algorithm development and testing
  • Define technical content for design documents including design requirements and specifications, design verification and validation plans, protocols, and reports, and risk management files
  • Perform hands-on algorithm testing, including exploratory engineering testing and formal validation testing. Author test protocols and reports and obtain cross-functional alignment
  • Provide algorithm and data science support during clinical studies and commercial release of new products
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship across the engineering team
