Arlo Technologies focuses on smart home security products and services. It sells wireless security cameras (wire-free), video doorbells, and floodlight cameras for homes and small businesses, and has expanded into subscription services under Arlo Secure. The product line is designed for easy setup, HD/4K video, and compatibility with major smart-home ecosystems (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant). The company earns revenue from one-time hardware sales and recurring monthly/annual subscriptions for cloud storage, AI-powered detection, and professional monitoring. Arlo differentiates itself by shifting toward a services-led model with high-margin recurring revenue, aiming to grow ARR, and by forming partnerships (e.g., with ADT) to embed Arlo technology into broader monitored security offerings. Its goal is to become a leading, customer-centric security platform with a steady stream of subscription revenue while maintaining strong hardware options for homeowners and small businesses.
