Requirements
  • Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Successful completion of state pharmacy board examination.
  • Pharmacist license current and in good standing in the state of LA.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements as part of pharmacist license maintenance.
  • Two to three years’ experience in the practice of pharmacy.
  • 1 year of experience in pharmacy management leading pharmacy teams.
Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional and personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services; advise and guide with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence.
  • Build effective relationships with local physicians and medical community to ensure accurate and safe dispensing of medication to patients.
  • Business acumen and leadership; own pharmacy operations and embrace continual improvement, learning, and leading to provide the best possible patient care and empower the pharmacy team’s development.
  • Stay informed of regulations, retail pharmacy best practices, and knowledge of specialty diseases such as Autoimmune, Oncology, Hepatitis C, HIV, and more.
  • Clinical oversight and industry innovation; committee member participation as Omnicell leads innovation in medication management and elevates the roles of the pharmacist in healthcare.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two to three years’ experience in pharmacy management leading pharmacy teams preferred.
  • One year of experience working with patient management program (strongly preferred).
  • Also have MS State Pharmacist License (preferred).
  • Specialty Pharmacy experience (within a health system a plus).
  • Working knowledge of 340B.
  • Working knowledge of Oncology and inflammatory diseases.
  • Working knowledge of Interfacing with hospital/health system/provider exec teams.
  • Experience with Prior Authorization.
